Reporting Solutions

We offer a menu of options to implement reporting solutions that visualize the enriched, analytics-ready data that is provided by the Bulk Data API. These options are intended to enable a quick start and execution success for projects with a range of pre-existing reporting infrastructure, development skill sets, and reporting requirements.

Option 1: Use Our Tableau Workbooks

We have a library of pre-built Tableau workbooks that use the Bulk Data API. These workbooks are available via privately hosted Tableau Servers:

• pepanalytics.careevolution.com (for RKStudio Research Project Reporting)

With this option, user accounts will be provisioned for your analytics team on our Tableau Server. Users can immediately sign in and interact with data. No work is required to stand up reporting infrastructure or develop reports.

Option 2: Build Your Own Reports Using the Bulk Data API

You can use the Bulk Data API to build your own reports. Several options are available:

Use Data from our Tableau Servers

Data from the Bulk Data API can be made available as Tableau data sources that are hosted on our private Tableau Servers. User accounts will be provisioned for your analytics team on our Tableau Server in order to provide access to Tableau data sources that express the tables described by the Bulk Data API data model. Report developers using Tableau Desktop will acquire data using these Tableau Server data sources. With this option, report developers can start workbooks from scratch or download and extend Tableau workbooks from our library.

This option enables rapid development and deployment of custom reports without any infrastructure setup.

Use Your Own Tableau Server

You can connect your own Tableau Desktop or Tableau Server infrastructure to the Bulk Data API via AWS Redshift. Follow these instructions to connect and authenticate. Our pre-built Tableau workbooks can be made available for download should you wish to use them to jumpstart your custom report development or as illustrative examples.

This option enables rapid development and deployment of reports that will housed on your private infrastructure.

Connect Any Reporting Platform to the Bulk Data API

Nearly all reporting platforms can connect to the Bulk Data API via Redshift. See our use case examples for details. Our pre-built Tableau workbooks may demonstrate useful patterns for analysis or data access that can accelerate your custom development.

This option enables development and deployment of your reports in any tool you choose and can meet any customized reporting requirements.

Obtain Data from the Bulk Data API via Files.

Use this option to host your own data warehouse that will serve analytics-ready data to your reporting infrastructure, data science tooling and front-line software applications. With this option, populate your data warehouse with data from the Bulk Data API that is made available via files. Data will be provided as one file per table described in the data model.
