Terminology Examples

Our terminology management reporting examples provide an orientation to data sources and terminology namespaces that are used throughout a data mart.

Reports that visualize the impact of terminology mapping or prioritize terminology namespaces (or individual terms) as mapping opportunities emphasize the number of data rows that make use of a specified term.

Reporting Examples and Common Use Cases:

Example Description
Data Assets

Understand the number of data rows and unique individuals with data, by type, over time, for each data source.

Terminology Overview

Browse all namespaces to see terminology families (data type and usage, i.e. Diagnosis Code, Lab Observation Type) represented, data instances, and mapping rates.

Mapping Opportunities

Identify opportunities to add new mappings by highlighting mapping suggestions, namespaces with low mapping rates, or unmapped terms with a high number of data instances.

Mapping Impact

Visualize recently created or deleted term mappings and the impact of these mappings (measured by the number of data instances that are related to the mapping) and value sets that are affected by the mapping.
